Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School is proud to celebrate International Friendship Day on 9th April 2025 with an engaging assembly programme that highlights the importance of forging friendships and embracing cultural exchange in our diverse ASEAN region. We invited the National Library Board (NLB) for the programme where we curated an interactive experience centred on the theme “Forging Friendships in a Complex World.” Students will explore powerful stories such as The Rent Collector, Girl of the Southern Sea, My Father, The Panda Killer, and Lotus Flower Champion, each reflecting the strength of friendship, resilience, and cultural understanding. These featured books are also available on Sora, our digital library, ensuring that students can continue their journey of discovery beyond the event.
The assembly also featured quizzes on ASEAN cultures, book trailers, and reflective discussions, encouraging students to connect the stories to their own lives and the broader ASEAN context. Adding to the festivities, Sec 1-3 ISPR students will set up vibrant booths to showcase traditional games, share insights on bilateral ties, and invite everyone to contribute to a well-wishing tree-fostering bonds of friendship across our school community. Through these activities, we hope to inspire every student to appreciate the richness of our region’s cultures and the vital role of friendship in building a harmonious and inclusive society.

Learning Journey
Secondary 2 Learning Journey to the National Museum of Singapore
On 7 February 2025, our Secondary 2 cohort embarked on a meaningful learning journey to the National Museum of Singapore, participating in the Museum-based Learning Programme, "Artefactually Speaking." This visit aimed to deepen students’ understanding of Singapore’s rich history while fostering a stronger sense of national identity and citizenship.
During the programme, students explored artefacts spanning 700 years of Singapore’s history and engaged in insightful discussions with Museum Educators. They had the freedom to select artefacts of interest, interact with their peers, and uncover the stories behind these historical pieces. Through these interactions, they gained a deeper appreciation of how individuals and communities in Singapore’s past forged connections with one another and with the places they called home.
As Singapore’s oldest museum — founded in 1887 as the Raffles Museum and Library — the National Museum of Singapore continues to inspire with its exhibitions and programmes. This enriching experience provided our students with valuable perspectives on our nation’s history, reinforcing the importance of heritage and identity in shaping our collective future.

The Gratitude Project allows Secondary 1 students to show appreciation to their primary school teachers. The Secondary 1 students were engaged in writing their messages of gratitude and designing the cards.
