The National Cadet Corps (Land) at Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School aims to nurture inspiring leaders and committed citizens through fun, adventurous and military-related experiences. Anchored in the ‘Cadet Strong’ framework, the CCA develops cadets with a resilient mind, fit body and committed heart, preparing them to lead with confidence and contribute meaningfully to society.

Through our programmes, students gain the following knowledge & skills:
Military fundamentals: drills, turnout, individual field craft (IFC), and basic navigation
Leadership and communication skills through structured training and leadership opportunities
Adventure and outdoor competencies, including land-based expeditions and navigation
Exposure to tri-service elements (land, air and sea)
Participation in competitions such as Orienteering, Precision Drill Squad (PDS), Freestyle Squad Drill (FSD), and Sports Championships
Our Adventures
Cadets in AISS NCC (Land) experience a wide range of engaging and dynamic activities that build both skills and character. They are trained in core military competencies such as drills, turnout, individual field craft (IFC), and basic navigation. Beyond training, cadets actively participate in competitions including Orienteering, Precision Drill Squad (PDS), Freestyle Squad Drill (FSD), and Sports Championships such as Captain’s Ball, Frisbee, and Football, allowing them to develop teamwork, resilience, and a strong spirit of sportsmanship.
All cadets will also take part in an annual camp, where they experience hands-on learning in a structured and supportive environment. This includes introductory shooting experiences using NERF guns. Each level progresses through key milestones: Secondary 1 cadets attend Camp FORGE, Secondary 2 cadets participate in Camp STEEL and undergo air rifle shooting at Yishun SAFRA, while Secondary 3 cadets take on greater responsibilities through the Leadership Training Camp (LTC). Sec 3 cadets may also have the opportunity to go for Live Range and be part of the National Day Parade (NDP) marching contingent, experiencing national-level representation and discipline at a higher level.
Beyond training and camps, cadets are given opportunities to grow holistically through meaningful experiences. These include CPR-AED certification, Values-in-Action initiatives where they give back to the community, and adventure activities such as kayaking. Selected cadets may also take part in overseas programmes like the International Cadet Exchange Programme (ICEP), broadening their perspectives and strengthening their global awareness.
